Verso — Terms of Service

What Verso is
Verso is a reading tool. It fetches, stores, and narrates text that you choose to import — from a link, pasted text, or a file — and keeps it only on your device. Verso hosts nothing, publishes nothing, and has no accounts or servers. By using the app you agree to these terms.
Your content, your responsibility
Everything in your Verso library got there because you put it there. You are responsible for what you import and for how you use it. Content imported by link comes directly from the site you point Verso at and remains subject to that site's own terms and policies.
Prohibited use
You may not use Verso to store, access, or engage with material that is unlawful — including, without limitation, any material that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. Tesoro Industries does not condone illegal material of any kind, in any form, anywhere in or around the app. Using Verso in violation of this section immediately terminates your license to use it, and we will cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
Eligibility
Verso is not directed to children under 13. Content available through the source sites you import from may include mature material; the app's App Store age rating reflects that, and download eligibility is governed by the App Store.
Respect for authors
The stories you import belong to the people who wrote them. Verso stores a personal, local copy for your own reading — the same way a browser saves a page for offline use. Don't use Verso to republish, redistribute, or sell anyone's work.
Independence
Verso is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Organization for Transformative Works, the Archive of Our Own, or Quotev.
No warranty
Verso is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE, without warranty of any kind. Source sites change, and imports can break; we work to keep the app reliable but promise nothing. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tesoro Industries is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app.
Apple's standard license
Your use of Verso is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms supplement it; where they conflict, Apple's terms control for App Store matters.
Changes
If these terms change, the update will be posted at this address with a new effective date. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms and Apple's standard license are the entire agreement between you and Tesoro Industries about the app.
